ABOUT AMY

Hi, I am Amy Stevens.

I'm a photographer local to Folly Beach and Charleston, South Carolina. I specialize in portrait and lifestyle photography and I capture the essence of the low country with my landscape images. I've been shooting professionally since 2010 and will graduate from Trident Technical College in August 2024 with my AAS in Commercial Graphics for Photography. I received my Master's degree in Education from the College of William and Mary and my Bachelor of Art's in English from Colorado College. My background in photography and English make me an excellent visual storyteller. My background in teaching helps me easily guide clients and put them at ease in front of the camera.

My work has been published in the Post and Courier, My Charleston Magazine, and my work has been featured in the 2019 edition of Waterway Explorer, the official waterway guide magazine.

Fun Facts:

I live a mile from Folly Beach with my husband of 26 years, better known as "Captain Johnny." We have two amazing kids (Just ask us!) who are creative and who love to be on the water. We own a premier sailing and power boat charter business called Sail Folly. As local small business owners, our relationships and reputation with clients are important to us. Amy Stevens is an extremely gifted photographer! She took pictures of our senior & I cannot begin to put into words what Amy did for our daughter’s outlook. Our daughter was so nervous at first, but Amy put her at ease with her kind words and gentle spirit. We are so grateful that Amy was able to take so many pictures even while keeping our ‘social distance’. You would never know how far apart they were by looking at the photos.
